got my pics turned so now I can put them up.
I put together my leaves with a panel I found. I really like how it turned out. I did another field of flowers for me since I donated the last one. I also did my Ghastlies quilt in the shadowbox pattern. I love how it turned out. And I got my second lonestar quilted. i even got brave and tried paper piecing. I'm calling it Desert Sunset.
Tanner walked at the head of the band (he's the drum major) in the Homecoming parade.
Pace playing in the parade. He also went to the Homecoming Dance the nxt night.

The end of summer
My nieces and nephews and sons at Riley's Eagle Court of Honor, Yeah! he got it all done. On to the next boy!
My brother with 3 of his 4 boys.I'm on Sam's back now to get his project going.
first day of school. Tanner is a senior and Pace a junior. Its the countdown. I just might survive it all.
Tanner leads the band at the football games (with his back to us) and Pace is across the way in the red shirt playing his trumpet. I go to the games now to watch them.
When we have a fire out back I get to have my own dept here to monitor it. Tanner is excited any time he gets to wear his turnouts. I'm sure he was frying as it was 110 degrees out there.
Tom, looking his best, (or normal) munches away and surveys the going ons.
I tended Kennan's children while she went on a girls weekend to Carson city. The kids spent a lot of time in the cold pool. But seemed to love it. Bentley was the mighty hunter, Georgianna the bathing beauty and Tristan just had fun.
A few of the quilting buddies got together for a leaf swap. I found this panel and it worked out perfectly with my set of leaves.
well, back to work. I'm getting quilts quilted, I got my blocks from my halloween swap so I have to put those together, and finish my Christmas card holder. We're planning a finish it Friday get toigether so maybe I can get those projects done this week.

Home from Montana
Just spent a week at my dad and mom's place in Montana. Quilting and relaxing is the name of the game,
Mom at her sewing table and the first two sections of her lone star. She got it donw and its gorgeous.
quilt I'm working on for a friend of Samantha's. I hope she likes it. It will end up King size. I got it done except for the last border.
I also learned a stack and whack with the dresden plate template. We went in a little quilt shop in Absorakee and I saw a christmas quilt done this way so the sales lady showed me how to do it. It is fun. I finished the last of the hand sewing on those blocks on the plane on the way home. You know, that whole idle hands thing. I also got 4 quilts bound while in Montana. My big suitcase was just quilts and projects and my carry on was clothes. Somethings wrong with this pix.

Pace had a great time at the jamboree. Funny how most of his friends pix are with girls.
Tanner had fun in San Diego. Here they are at the Padres game.

A busy summer
I took my grandkids to see Winnie the Pooh. Kennan's three and Zach's two. We had a lot of fun.
forgot to flip this one. Gideon and jessica went thru the Temple. Above that a darling one of Colin and Samantha. and above that Pace and the cousins having fun at the reunion in Idaho. My mom and dad came for the weekend to be here with Gid and Jess. Always fun to have them come and stay. They even survive the crazy goings on at my house. But we had a great time with Zach's family here too.

Stuff
Pace is heading off to Sweden for the World Boy Scout Jamboree. Can't wait to see the pix from that.
Bag I made for a bag swap I did. I did the large bag to hold cutting mats or quilts you take along to work on and a small bag for whatever. The partner I had was from Australia. She sent me some great bags.
Tanner helped out at the Fire Station Open House a couple of months ago.

catch up time - Cedar City retreat
mom flew down and we had a great time at the retreat.
These are the quilts I did at the retreat. they were fun classes. The Friendship star, Cactus Wreath, Flying Pinwheel and Lone star. I was so nervous to do the Lone Star but it was easy and fun.
My sister will complain of too many quilt pix but I have to get caught up. I made Pace stand and hold each one so I could get pix. you'll see he dropped one too soon. Here's my Cat in the Hat. This will go to Colin someday.
This was the Tisket a Tasket off the internet
A Halloween Swap I was involved in. I did the block with the BOO on it and got the others from quilters all over.
Got my Believe quilt done except for some red buttons that go on the border. I love it
Took an applique class from Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnett in St. George, Ut. We did the eat cake block and this is how I decided to put it to use. I love dresden plates.
i'm doing 2 signature quilt for my family reunion. After everyone signs them, one will go in the family auction and I'm keeping the other. I love family heirloom things
saw this in Scrap apple and had to make it. Loved theirs so I got the layer and extra fabric to make it just like it.
Surprised Pace. He dropped it too soon.
My Thimbleberries BOM. I love how it turned out. Now I just have to get busy and get them quilted. I'm trying to get caught up before I get piecing again. But I see so many things I want to make. Went to the Henderson Quilt Show yesterday with Carolyn, Lea and Dee. Had a great time but bought too much. Now I have more projects again.
Tanner got to go on a cattle drive a couple of months ago. He is the second froim the right.
