Mail!

I was so excited to get the mail today. Lots of goodies. I got my winter swap from my partner, Bonnie from Kentucky. It was great. the cutest snowmen you've ever seen. She went above and beyond and made a cute snappy tote and a hot pad. I also got a kit for a pineapple quilt from shabby fabrics which I can't wait to get started on and the first 3 blocks of a BOM I signed up for (late) so I'll play catch up. what a great day to go to the mail!

Winter Swap and other projects.

I was excited to get my 'no sew blocks' in the mail. My mom and a friend were in the groups too so we added a block or two to the pink one and got 12 blocks for that one.

I finished my winter swap mini quilt and got it off in the mail. I enjoyed doing it and hope she likes it.

I was also determined to get the quilts from the retreat finished so here's my little quilt show,

Yes, I'm really there and have my Uncle in a couple of my classes. He is in the guild there.

Blanche Young was the guest speaker. We all loved listening to her and seeing the great quilts.

The Retreat Gals

This was our group that went to the Cedar City Retreat. We had a great time. Of course going out to dinner was on the agenda.

I saw that sherri at A Quilting life was doing the year of Schnibbles but I didn't want to get into another project. But each month I see the ones everyone has done and couldn't stand it anymore. I had to jump in. This is my version of Winter White and cindy Lou.

Saw these Christmas napkins at Scrap Apple in St. George and loved them. came home and made 16 that evening. They were a hit at christmas dinner.

Busy Season!

I guess it's time to catch up on things. My sis says all I write about is my quilting, so I told her that that is a lot of my life. I've been so busy for so long it's nice to do what I want. But I do love spending time with the hubby and two boys left at home. They are in the band at school and marched in the veterans day parade.

I got this in the mail in November. My partner from the Mini Fall quilt swap sent it to me. I loved it. and it looked great on my coffee table.

Christmas quilts were finished for the grandkids. A couple of them got monster quilts, while the oldest got the baseball quilt made from the BQ pattern. Love it. Easy and fast to put together. I made scrapbooks from the notebook cover pattern on Moda Bakeshop.
